Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree or higher preferred)
• North Carolina teacher certification in subject area;
• At least (1) year of teaching experience with record of improving student achievement;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences (including colleagues, students and families).
• Demonstrated professional behavior, including discretion, judgment and integrity.

Preferred:

• Teaching experience within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme;
• Ability to thrive in an innovative school environment;
• Knowledge and background related to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSCOS).

Compensation:                                      

• Based upon experience, degree/certification, NC State Salary Guide and the Union County Licensed Teacher Supplement.
