2024-25 ELEMENTARY TEACHER:  Grades 2-3

UNION DAY SCHOOL CURRICULUM

 

Union Day has a unique curriculum which utilizes evidence-based instruction and principled practices. This curriculum is carefully outlined in our charter and will be implemented with infidelity, by all kindergarten through fifth grade teachers.

  • Singapore Math
  • Inquiry-based Science
  • Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop
  • Handwriting Without Tears
  • American Heritage Supplemental Social Studies Program

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

 

  • Implement the curriculum through a self-contained teaching model, as written in the school’s charter.
  • Use multiple forms of assessment to make data driven decisions that inform and improve teaching, learning, and student achievement,
  • Creating a culture of joy in learning, excellence in instruction, and rigorous exploration,
  • Collaborating with members of a school leadership team including parents, administration and the community;
  • Collaborating with the special education team.

COMPENSATION:

Based on Experience, Degree/certification, NC State Salary Guide, and Union County Licensed Teacher Supplement.
